What do these "street" phrases mean?

I'm listening to a song called Suburban Homeboy from Sparks album Lil' Beethoven. It is not a "hip-hop" album. It's a cross between pop and opera. They are making fun of people with money who act like they are from the "hood".

These are the phrases I'm interested in:

"Props to our peeps"

"She looks like Iverson in a way"

What's props?

What's peeps?

Do they mean the basketball player Allen Iverson?

What do these "street" phrases mean?violin

"Props to our peeps" means basically a 'shout out' or recognition to friends %26amp; family, the people that give support.

Thats the only Iverson i know of. If 'she' looks like Iverson...she must be ugly. Unless it means she plays ball like him.
